Our story

 

Building on over two decades of experience since 2002, Cainiao Teppanyaki has established five restaurants across major cities in Liaoning Province, including Shenyang, Dalian, and Anshan. Rooted in Northeast China, the brand has consistently focused on

craftsmanship, ingredients, and honest cooking.

 

This long-standing philosophy now continues in Auckland with Kita Food House, our first restaurant outside China.

While the market has changed, our core belief remains the same:

We may be humble in business, but uncompromising in the kitchen.

 

The name “Cainiao” literally means “rookie” — representing a humble attitude toward business, and absolute mastery in cooking.

We believe we are rookies in restaurant management, but masters in culinary craftsmanship.


Our focus has always been on ingredients, technique, and flavor — not trends or gimmicks.

Today, Cainiao operates five restaurants across major cities in Liaoning Province, including Anshan, Dalian, and Shenyang — key economic and cultural hubs in Northeast China

Our Big Glory Bay King Salmon is sustainably ocean-farmed in the pristine waters of Big Glory Bay, Stewart Island, at the southernmost point of New Zealand.


Cold ocean currents keep the water at around 14°C, slowing growth and allowing the salmon to develop its distinctively rich, smooth flavor.

New Zealand King Salmon

Less than 1% of the world’s salmon is New Zealand King Salmon (Chinook Salmon).
This rare species is difficult to farm and requires exceptional conditions, generous space, and minimal handling.
